In the standard World of Warcraft game, Paladins are an Alliance-only class. Even in the Alliance, only Dwarves and Humans can be a Paladin. In general, neither race is better than the other. Dwarves have a few nice abilities that will help you out (cold resistance, stone form), while humans have benefits to maces and swords that help as well, not forgetting the +10% reputation gained. See the Paladin Tactics solo information section. The most important thing to remember is your strength: lasting a long time. Always keep that at the forefront and you can take on most enemies with ease.

  Grouping
As a Paladin you will be playing two roles (described in greater details in the Paladin Tactics section). You will either be a Tank first and foremost and a healer secondary, or the Primary healer and the Tank secondary. It is important to know what your role is before getting into combat and acting accordingly to prevent unecessary party deaths and disasters.


As a healer, remember to "assist" the main party tank and ensure that the focus of your party's firepower is on one mob. Make certain you continue to heal your entire party and keep everyone buffed to the best of your ability. As a paladin, you must also switch your Auras so that they are helping your team the most under the current circumstances. Read the Paladin Tactics section for more on this. Always be prepared to jump in as a tank if the primary tank goes down, or if a secondary mob goes after one of your weaker groupmates. But remember that everyone is counting on you for healing, so even if you are holding off an enemy, keep healing your teammates and don't worry much about hurting the mob that is attacking you - your team will get to him as soon as they finish off the mob they are concentrating on.


As a tank, make sure your group helps you. As a Paladin you don't do too much DPS, but you last a LONG time. This means that unlike a warrior who can both take and deal out damage, you must count on your teammates for DPS while you take the beating. This is one of the reasons a Paladin/Mage combo is so powerful - the mage can do high DPS, while the Paladin can simply hold back enemies and keep the mage safe. Remember to keep yourself healed and keep up the buffs on your teammates - it will help the entire group in the long run. One of the most important things to remember is to use your Paladin Abilities effectively. A Paladin isn't a Warrior and without using their abilities they are dramatically weaker then they would be otherwise. [/quote]

  Primary Professions
Mining and Blacksmithing
This combo affords the Paladin an easy way to upgrade arms and armor if they are unlucky with drops. Since having a good weapon and great armor is one of the most vital parts of being a Paladin, this combo helps the Paladin stay at his peak throughout his adventures.
Skinning and Leatherworking
Skinning is a good source of money if you sell the leather and hides, but is otherwise useless for a Paladin. Leatherworking is not useful to a Paladin, since he/she will never want to wear leather armor and can't use crafted quivers due to not being able to use ranged weapons. Only take these two if you are planning to use them to make money, but they won't directly help you in any way aside from raising funds.
Skinning and one of Mining or Herbalism
Two gathering skills (one of which requires the mini-map to find resource nodes) can provide a strong income. Many players begin their careers as dual gatherers, changing to a crafting profession in later levels as they become more established.
Tailoring
Making bags for others is a good way to earn money on young servers, but beware that the market typically dries up as the server matures and players move to dropped bags such as Traveler's Backpacks. Other than bags, there are few reasons for Paladins to be tailors, since they do not usually wear cloth armor.
Herbalism and Alchemy
Since you can heal yourself with spells, even in combat, Alchemy is somewhat less useful to Paladins than to non-healing classes. One benefit of Alchemy is mana potions: without mana a Paladin is in trouble, so these potions are vital in case of emergencies. In addition, a health potion can be downed quickly to bring back your health when making a quick escape. Be aware that potions can be found as drops from mobs and purchased at the auction house, but purchasing them will cost more than making your own.
Enchanting
Tied to a money-making gathering skill, this would allow you to enchant your weapons in the way you want, when you want. Overall however, it may just be easier to find an enchanter and pay them to do the work for you. Although, You can make quite a bit of money buying low leveled Uncommon items, Disenchanting them, And selling the resulting materials.
Mining and Engineering
Engineering can be a great profession pair for Paladins for one reason - it's one of the few ways for a Paladin to get a ranged attack (see ranged options in Paladin Overview. Dynamite and bombs allow the Paladin to have at least one (albeit minor) ranged attack that they can use. While difficult to see at lower levels, the disadvantage of not having a ranged attack becomes glaringly apparent when trying to pull enemies (particularly from camps) at higher levels.

In the end, do what you want. Many of the combinations help a certain style of play and selecting a combination based on your play style will just enhance your enjoyment of the game. Remember that you can later change professions if need be. Start your professions early: they are usually inexpensive, and starting early helps ensure that anything a Paladin can create with his/her skills is applicable to the character's level.

  Secondary Professions
Cooking
Fishing
First Aid
Cooking and First Aid are of less use to paladins than most melee classes, since paladins can heal themselves. Many cooked foods, however, do provide buffs such as a boost in total health and/or spirit. In addition, cooked foods typically sell for more than their components, providing a useful source of extra money after normal hunting. First Aid can be useful for healing when you are trying to conserve mana (or are simply out of it). Many high-level raiding groups require every character to have a high First Aid skill for those reasons. Fishing is no longer the money-maker that it once was, but can still be useful to raise your cooking skill and provide buff food.

[quote]Aggro management
A Paladins aggro management is done through the buff Righteous Fury. This should
be on whenever you are tanking, and should be in an easy to reach position, just
in case you need to try and snag aggro. It works by increasing the effective
threat generated by any Holy damage by a set percentage, which may be improved
by a talent in the Paladin protection tree.
At its base level, it increases threat by 60%: So, for every 10 points of Holy
damage you do, you will gain an extra 6 threat.
Following the 2.0 Patch, Paladins now have the ability to use something called
Righteous Defense, a low-mana high-range ability that is instant cast. The
difference between Righteous Defense and a Warrior's Taunt is simply the target:
Righteous Defense is cast on a friendly target, and acts as a snap taunt; Taunt
is cast on the creature itself. It is slightly more difficult to use the snap
taunt as a paladin because it does involve you clicking the spell on the person
that has pulled aggro, however, there are macros available that automate the
process.
Paladins tanking generally use Seal of Righteousness as it is a guaranteed
number of holy damage each weapon swing, and may lead with a Judgement of the
Crusader for increased Holy Damage.

    Debuffs
Paladins do have one non-judgment debuff; Vindication which is a talent in the
Retribution tree.

    Damage over Time
Paladins have only one universal damage over time ability, Consecration, which
is available to everyone:
Instant cast | 8 sec cooldown
Consecrates the land beneath the Paladin, doing X Holy damage over 8 sec to
enemies who enter the area.
Rank 1: 136 mana | 64 damage
Rank 2: 235 mana | 120 damage
Rank 3: 320 mana | 192 damage
Rank 4: 435 mana | 280 damage
Rank 5: 565 mana | 384 damage

The Consecrate ability has been made available as a class skill starting at
level 20 in the Burning Crusade patch released in December of 2006.

    Direct Damage
Paladins are a melee class, so naturally they deal direct damage with weapons.
They also have several spells such as instant-cast exorcism and casted holy
wrath, which only effect Undead and Demons, Holy Shock, which deals holy damage
to any target, and is accessible via the Holy Talent Tree. Finally there is Seal
of Righteousness, which deals holy damage with every melee strike, and can be
judged to do an amount of direct damage. Seal of Command is similar to Seal of
Righteousness, except it triggers less often for more damage; and the amount of
holy damage dealt on judging is increased if the target is stunned or otherwise
incapacitated. Seal of Command is most useful in burst-damage situations, like
PvP. Hammer of Wrath is a ranged spell available to all paladins and only usable
on targets under 20% health and has a very brief cast time; if the target heals
or regenerates above 20% health at any time - even if the projectile is in
flight - the spell will be cancelled. There are no paladin spells that deal
direct damage without having a cooldown aside from Seal of Righteousness, which
strikes every melee swing.
Upon release of Patch 2.0 in December of 2006, the two talents that allow
paladins to used Ranged Attacks are Holy Shock (Holy, 31-point) and Avengers
Shield (Protection, 41-point). Holy Shock's cooldown was halved to 15 seconds,
making the Holy Castadin or Mageadin template very viable.
[edit]Spell Damage Coefficients
As is shown here, the majority of a paladins damage comes from spells. Aside
from a few talents that can be used to increase your holy damage output, the
main way is through equipment with a + to spell damage/healing effect. The full
amount listed on the item does not get added straight away, though; it is based
on a percentage on a spell by spell basis, as listed below.
10% One-Handed Seal of Righteousness

12% Two-Handed Seal of Righteousness

50% Judgement of Righteousness

20% Seal of Command

43% Judgement of Command

33% Consecration

43% Holy Shock

43% Hammer of Wrath

43% Exorcism

19% Holy Wrath

20% Holy Shield (5% per Block)

In WoW 2.0, several coefficients have been improved. Seal of Righteousness's
coefficient has also been tied to the speed of the weapon it's used with:
9.2% per 1.0 weapon speed, One-handed Seal of Righteousness

10.8% per 1.0 weapon speed, Two-handed Seal of Righteousness

73% Judgement of Righteousness

76% Consecration

9% Avenger's Shield (new spell)
17% Seal of Vengeance (per tick) (new spell)
43% Judgement of Vengeance (new spell)
0% Seal of Blood


So, for instance, pre-2.0, if you have +50 to spell damage/healing, you can
expect your seal of righteousness to hit for 5 more damage per strike, its
judgment to do 25 extra damage, and your holy shock to do approximately 22 extra
damage. Beside that, you notice holy light and flash of light are both listed
here; they are also affected by these items with the percentage listed.

    Heals
Paladins have 2 major healing abilities: Holy Light and Flash of Light. Holy
Light has a longer casting time, is available at lower levels, and heals more.
Flash of Light has a shorter casting time, isn't available at early levels, and
heals less. As of 1.9, Holy Shock (talent) can be used as an instant heal on
group members, with about the same strength as Flash of Light. As a final
method, Paladins also can heal themselves and other players (including players
of the opposing faction) by judging Seal of Light on a mob which grants a chance
of healing everyone who is attacking the mob in melee.

    Protection
Paladins have several protective blessings at their disposal for use on group
members: Blessing of Protection, which will protect a member from all physical
damage for a set number of seconds; Blessing of Sacrifice, which will send a
small part of the taken from the blessed player and send it to the Paladin
unmitigated; and Blessing of Freedom, which will make the blessed player immune
to movement hampering effects.

    Critical Hits
A paladin uses both types of critical hits, melee and spell, depending on the
ability, as shown below:


Seal of Command: Melee crit rate

Judgement of Command: Melee crit rate

Hammer of Wrath: Melee crit rate

Avenger's Shield: Melee crit rate

Seal of Righteousness: Can not crit

Judgement of Righteousness: Spell crit rate

Holy Shock: Spell crit rate

Exorcism: Spell crit rate

Holy Wrath: Spell crit rate

Holy Shield: Can not crit


In addition, Paladins can increase their Judgements' critical hit rate by up to
15% by investing Talent Points in Retribution's Fanaticism (Requires 1 Point in
Repentance & 35 Points in Retribution Talents). This stacks with the paladin's
existing spell crit. So as you can see in the list above, the general rule is
that if you use Seal of Command and Judgement of Command as your main source of
damage, it is better to use +melee crit gear, whereas for a paladin without Seal
of Command, +spell crit is better. Also note that a paladins healing spells are,
of course, based on spell crit.

At level 60 a paladin receives 1% melee crit for every 20 AGI and 1% spell crit

  [b]仇恨控制[/b]

骑士通过正义愤怒的buff来制造仇恨。无论何时你在做TANK的时候,或者是你想要试图提升你在仇恨列表中的位置的时候,都需要使用这个技能。它会按照一定的比例增加神圣伤害造成的仇恨。防护系的天赋可以对它有额外的加成。
增加的仇恨的基础值是60%,也就是说每造成10点神圣伤害,你就可以多获得6点额外的仇恨。
随着2.0版本的到来,骑士有了一种新的技能:正义防护。这是一个瞬发技能,法力消耗少,施放距离远。正义防护与嘲讽的区别仅在于施放的目标不同,正义防护只对友方目标使用,其作用相当于一个间接的嘲讽;嘲讽则对怪物自身使用。作为骑士坦克,使用正义防护来进行嘲讽相对比较麻烦一些,因为你需要选中吸引了仇恨的目标然后再施放正义防护技能。好在可以用一些宏来自动进行这一过程。
骑士坦克一般使用公正圣印来在每次武器伤害上附加一定的神圣伤害,而且需要在目标上施放十字军审判来增加神圣伤害。

  [b]debuff[/b]
除了审判以外,骑士没有别的debuff可以施放。“辩护”是惩戒系的一个天赋。

  [b]持续伤害[/b]
骑士只有一种持续伤害技能:奉献。现在每个人都可以使用了。

瞬发技能,冷却时间8秒
燃烧圣骑士脚下的土地,每8秒对进入这一地区的目标造成X神圣伤害。

1级:136法力 | 64伤害
2级:235法力 | 120伤害
3级:320法力 | 192伤害
4级:435法力 | 280伤害
5级:565法力 | 384伤害

  [b]直接伤害[/b]
骑士属于近战职业,自然需要通过武器制造直接伤害。他们还有一些技能,如瞬发的驱邪术、需要施法的神圣愤怒这两种仅对恶魔和亡灵生物可用的技能能够造成神圣伤害,通过神圣天赋获得的神圣震击可以对任何目标造成神圣伤害。另外,正义圣印会在每次武器攻击上附带神圣伤害,也可以对目标审判造成直接伤害。命令圣印与正义圣印类似,人不过它的触发机率较低,而造成的伤害较高。审判时,如果目标处于眩晕状态,则会造成较高的伤害,否则伤害较低。在需要伤害暴发力的情况下,如PVP中,会比较多地使用命令圣印。愤怒之锤是一种远程法术,所有骑士都可以使用,然而只能对生命值低于20%的目标施放。需要一个很短时间的施法,而如果目标在任何时候——哪怕是法术已经放出正在飞行的时候——得到了治疗,生命恢复到20%以上了,这个法术也会取消。除了正义圣印在每次近战攻击时都造成伤害以外,圣骑士没有任何无冷却的直接伤害技能。
2006年12月6日,2.0版本补丁放出之后,骑士有了两个可以造成远程伤害的天赋技能:神圣系31点的神圣震击天赋和防护系41点天赋复仇者之盾。神圣震击的冷却改为15秒,这使得神圣系施法型骑士的出现成为可能。
如下列所示,骑士的主要伤害来自法术。除了有限的增加神圣伤害输出的天赋之外,提升伤害的主要方式是通过+法术伤害和治疗效果的装备。装备上的法伤总量并不是简单地直接加成到技能伤害上面,根据法术的不同,法伤装备加成时的百分比也是不同的,如下列所示

  单手正义圣印:  10%
  双手正义圣印:  12%
  正义审判:    50%

  复仇者之盾(新法术)  9%
  复仇圣印(新法术)  17%

因此,在2.0之前的副本中,如果你有+50魔伤的装备,你的正义圣印每次附带的伤害可以提升5点;审判会造成25点额外的伤害;神圣震击可以造成22点额外伤害。此外,你可能注意到了这里也列出了圣光术与圣光闪现的加成。它们也会按表中的百分比受到装备的加成。  

  [b]治疗[/b]
骑士有两个主要的治疗法术:圣光术与圣光闪现。圣光术的施法时间较长,在低等级时就可以学习,并且可以治疗较多的生命值;圣光闪现的施法时间较短,低等级时无法学习,而且治疗量较小。在1.9版本中,神圣震南可以作为瞬发治疗手段使用,其治疗量与圣光闪现类似。另外,骑士可以用光明圣印审判怪物,这样可以治疗自己及其他玩家(包括敌对势力的玩家),每次攻击这个怪物都有机率可以回复生命值。

  [b]防护[/b]
骑士有一系列的保护性祝福,可以用来对队伍里的玩家使用。保护祝福可以使队友在短短几秒内免受任何物理伤害;牺牲祝福可以将被祝福的玩家受到的伤害的一小部分转移到施法的骑士身上;而自由祝福可以使受祝福的玩家不受任何限制移动效果的影响。

  [b]致命一击[/b]
骑士有两种致命一击:物理与法系的。各技能受到的影响如下:

  命令圣印:物理致命率
  命令审判:物理致命率
  愤怒之锤:物理致命率
  复仇者之盾:物理致命率
  正义圣印:无致命
  正义审判:法术致命率
  神圣震击:法术致命率
  驱邪术:法术致命率
  神圣愤怒:法术致命率
  神圣之盾:无致命

另外,通过惩戒系中的狂热天赋(需要1点忏悔和35点惩戒天赋投入),审判的致命率可以提升15%;这可以与骑士已有的致命率叠加。所以,根据上述列表,如果你使用命令圣印和审判作为主要的伤害输出方式,那么应当选择+物理致命的装备;而对没有命令圣印的骑士,法术致命的装备更好。还有,骑士的治疗法术自然也是受法术致命的影响。

60级的骑士每20点敏捷提升1%物理致命,28.5智力提升1%法术致命。

The Retribution tree, primarily Sanctified Crusader and Crusader Strike, allows for increased damage. Utility from judgements is also valued, albeit situational. Currently, this is the least used role for paladins in the raid environment due to lack of itemization, generally weak or unnoticeable utility, and the lack of melee spell interruption. But is the most used role when leveling and soloing. However, Blizzard is revamping the Retribution tree to finally make it raid viable in an upcoming patch (supposedly patch 2.3). They will be greatly increasing sustained DPS and giving Retribution Paladin's more raid utility. They will hopefully address their threat problems with a threat modifier, as the Paladin is the only class without an innate negating threat talent (Blessing of Salvation doesn't count, as it can also be casted on others). Expect to see Retribution Paladins invited into more raids after this patch is released. Although it may take the other classes a while to get past the "retnoob" stereotype they have given them. However, if Blizzard implements the revamp correctly this should not be an issue for too long.

在此笔者希望能看到惩戒圣骑士们在2.3补丁后被更多的团队接受.或许其他职业一时无法改变对惩戒圣骑士们的成见.然而如果暴雪能正确的改进该系天赋的话,相信这个问题的解决也就不远了.
